Overview

I joined Nutanix as a UX Design Intern in September 2021 for 3 months. I worked as an intern here along with completing my academics for my pre-final semester at BITS Pilani.

Nutanix is a cloud computing company based in the U.S. that sells software, cloud services, and software storage solutions. I worked on designing the V2.0 of the Operations Dashboard for Nutanix India. The operations dashboard is used by the leadership, talent, business, and finance teams at Nutanix to track hiring-related statistics. The executives are the most frequent users of this dashboard and it is used to make critical hiring-based decisions for the company.

Team

I got to work with a really diverse team of stakeholders in terms of their roles at the company. This also meant I got to learn from highly experienced individuals about what they and their respective teams do at Nutanix. I also got to work with two fellow interns :)

Problem Statements for V1.0 of the Ops Dashboard

1. Based on user feedback from V1.0, there was a need to:

• Filter data based on time period & recruiters.
• Increase the visibility of filters amongst users.
• Populate the filters with global data & hence design filters to be more scalable.
• Solve several widget-specific issues on the dashboard

2. Some new initiatives that we wanted to take up:

• Introduction of role-based access in the dashboard which impacted the filter designs.
• Introduction of an admin panel to manage access
